Talisman Card Set Creator
The utility used to build most of the homebrew sets in this archive.
The Card Set Creator grew out of a need to design full sets instead of one card at a time. It supported adventure cards, large cards and character cards, and ended up powering much of the RandomDice Talisman material.
Is is coded a long time ago, and might not even run on any modern OS. No guarantees given. You must first install Legacy setup package to get version 1.6, then download the TCS 1.7 and replace the installed .EXE file.
Why it existed
A tool built for whole-set workflows.
The big difference compared with older card editors was scope: this one was designed around managing many cards at once, generating full output sets and keeping common style settings together so expansion design moved faster.
Batch workflow
Create and manage numerous cards at the same time, with autonumbering and shared defaults.
Export support
Build complete card sets, export backgrounds and generate assets more quickly than a one-card workflow allowed.
Character and large cards
Later versions expanded beyond standard adventure cards into more of the Talisman format family.
